me & Loverboy....

...everybody's working for the weekend.... :-) Well, okay, not really WORKING. Maybe that is an overstatement? I have a relaxing weekend planned after being in Idaho all of last weekend. Working for a few hours tomorrow, then off to the Blood Drive... vampiric souls love my AB+. Rick is now a granddaddy!! He shared the news with me mid-week...is his first, hopefully not the last (he says). Got some new software that I can play with under the guise of "Work" whilst I design brochures and the like. Pagan Meetup is next Weds, I am so looking forward to it... still have not read the book Aust suggested...damnit! However, I did read 3 others in the last week. Either my reading list is too long, or I just don't have as much free time as I would like. I could wonder why that is, but I KNOW why... because I have places to go & things to do today! What a gift... a life I ENJOY!

Home again, home again, jiggety jig...

I must say, I had a terrific time in Boise w/my online group of gals!! I was not the "outgoing all the time, gotta go gotta go" gal that I wanted to be perceived as, but I was me and that is what matters. I took some time to myself to rest and I took time to soak up the energy of the gals I was with. Wow... 20 this year? OMG, come a long way since Houston in 2000, I think 8 of us attended. Next year is Fort Worth!! Close to home, I am so excited!! After that, back to the Winter Wonderland as it will be held in Chicago! Only time I've been there is when I had a connection to make @ O'Hare. ..I've never stepped outside the airport. Got home just after 1am Tuesday, got a few hours sleep & then into work. Ouch. Got the bill for Celica repairs at midnight when Amy dropped me at shop... $575. Another OUCH! Arrived home last night around 6pm with a list of chores. Unpacked, did 2 loads of laundry plus my bedding, scooped both cat litters, changed out Lizzie's sh...

Almost time for Boise!!

Well, E-filed on 2/10, refund due in my bank (they SAY) on 2/24, whilst I am in Idaho!! Same drill as the year we met in Vancouver...LOL. Nothing like leaving it right to the wire!! Read a book called "The Moon Under Her Feet" for my Goddess book group. Wow. I cried for the last several chapters...stayed up until I finished, sometime around 11pm!! Abigale kept stretching and yawning, wondering why we were not in bed yet. Next (not on reading list but still of interest to me) is the "Celestine Prophecy" that Aust suggested I read. Tonight I will pack for the 5 days I'll be in Boise, and maybe go pick up some airplane munchies. Got dishes and laundry done last night, tidied up, made a list of tasks for the housesitter... gotta make sure cats get spoiled whilst I am away...not to mention Lizzie! I will miss them, but will be good to see my gal posse again. It is all working out just smooth as silk...Celica needs some front end/sterring/suspension work done, so will...

Hallmark Holidays

well...oh my... I have had so much FUN!! One of the guys @ work gave me a box of chocolates, as did Jorge, the Maintenance man at my apartment complex. :-) And, for a self treat, I watched "Charlie & the Chocolate Factory" with both kitties... Buoy in my lap, Callie @ my feet. Well, that is, until the end where I played the "Dance" test...and then got up & danced the Oompa Loompa dance with the DVD...oh my... laughed so loud I am sure the neighbors are wondering! Finally had a "heart to heart" with a friend...said some things that needed to be said so I feel a lot better about that. Now to start making my meditation table a little more suited to working with some psychic energy...want to personalize it a little... stay tuned!!

gosh what a weekend!

Well, let me just say that this was the best weekend so far this year! Friday I was at home alone... got Chili's To-Go and 2 chick flicks. Saturday I had to work but that was balanced by Art Day w/my gal pals and dinner/movie. Then home for much needed rest. Sunday was far better than I expected. To start, after feeding kitties I went back to bed and slept in until 10am!! Got up, finished my pages for the "Tree of Life" book & packaged for mailing out, then on to Book Woman with Elizabeth for the "Book Goddesses" book club...awesome group! Terrific Yin energy present (the intuitive, receptive, nurturing side of ourselves that is in connection with the Divine). Then dinner out AGAIN @ Macaroni Grill... gosh, I got enough food for 3 meals!! I highly recommend the Clam Chowder, but as a MEAL, not an appetizer. I had to get my meal packaged "to-go" I was so full!! The Indigo Girls song "Closer to Fine" keeps coming up so I will post a ve...

Working for the weekend....

16 more hours til the weekend!! Well, work hours, anyways. Meetup was a grand time, even tho just Aust & I there...the cafe finally (politely) had to tell us it was closing time... I hd NO idea we'd been talking for a coupla hours already. Fascinating man, Aust is. I really enjoyed the time, and got some new titles to peruse. Speaking of perusing...
