A Day "Out & About"

Well, on my desk are 3 tutorials I want to share with you but since they are scribbled on scraps of paper they will have to wait until I get them typed up and the sample pictures attached. I also have a journal challence (windows) to complete. And I have 2 card sketch challenges that will also have to wait. Why am I being so unproductive? Because we BOTH have the day off and we are heading to 43rd Annual Ponchatoula Strawberry Festival!! One or two of the list might get crossed off later this evening but if not, there is always Sunday :-) Or after work on Saturday since I am not the closer. My art room is organized from my last blast though here and all tidied up so once I get back to it, GAME ON. the weather is T-shirt sleeves and saldals perfect and looking to be gorgeous the entire day.. I am so excited to be outdoors and hanging with my best friend for the day. May you all be so blessed in the week to come as well!

Paper Crafting Space #2

Well, have made some samples for my card class on the 18th of this month but don't want to spoil the surprise so will post another picture of my current art space... this is the area behind me as I sit and craft looking out over our front yard... and yes, I am well aware that I have an addiction so just hush. At least the chaos is a tad bit easier to find, now that it has been sorted through. I am still tweaking the layout of particular items as I get settled into the space. Moving the bins around, etc. Keep crafting and stay inky!

Your Kindness card

Today I have been cutting and measuring and cutting some more. Getting the supplies ready for my workshop next week. So far I have put together "Make & Take" kits for one project and 1 card per attendee. Took more time than I thought it would but I think that is because I sat down and made one of both as a demo piece. Here is the card project sample... I also made migas for breakfast, fixed a rosary for a friend at church AND finished editing the monthly newsletter for the Harrison County Gem & Mineral Society. It is now at the printers for those who choose not to have it emailed. Those who chose email have gotten it in their inboxes already. So, now for a break, maybe some popcorn. Not sure yet what I am cooking for dinner tonight and I have to cook all 3 meals for work tomorrow. Sheeesh

Following my heart

I made a card using a mask for the moon then sponging pink piroutte, pumpkin pie & rich razzleberry inks over it. Used the tree stamp from the Le Jardin Botanique set and thin black ribbon around left side, Next, I mounted it on a 5.5x4.25" whisper white base. Stamped the sentiment from Whimsical Words. and there you are, a card in less than 5 minutes, start to finish.
