Well, got other eyecap off last night... Agathos was so happy to see again thathe did not even want to eat his mouse. Will try feeding again tonight. Daimon, on the other hand, was so hungry he struck at bowl before Spirit could get miceicle out of it... so he missed. 2nd try equally futile... he got towel underneath mouse as it tumbled onto floor. 3rd try he also got towel because he would not wait for us to pick it up w/tongs and elevate it...he was HUNGRY!! Solution finally was to put mouse on cardboard piece so Daimon could make a clean, unencujmbered strike..SUCCESS!! Took Indra & Hecate out of habits as well... Indra has improved by leaps and bounds ... I am so happy. He got fresh mangoes for a treat while he watched Spirit cook dinner. Hecate did not stay out as long, she was so excited (and so small, so fast) I was afraid she'd get away & then Callie (who was watching us SO intently) would have a new game... Well, today is feeding day for the snakes. Used to feed them Mondays, but getting that and everything else done was running way too late ... don't get home from Austin until 8pm. So we let them fast a day so we could move it to Tuesday. Daimon has settled in quite well, gone thru 1st shed with us successfully... and having a great time in his own roomy habitat. When we saw him, he was in a 2.5 foot cube tank with 3 other pythons his size...eek! Weigh-in last night--he tipped scales @ 3 pounds, about 4 feet long now. Agathos had not yet shed his eyecaps so we peeled one off last night, will try for other one tonight before we feed them miceicles. Not sure who was more traumitized by the event. Took a warm wet songe and coated him in some "easy shed" spray, then a warm wet washcloth over and over his head (only part that has not completed the shed process) until one eyecap ame loose. Spirit plucked it off...ouch!! He weighed in at a hefy 2.5 ounces... not quite 2 feet l...

today is a ranting day... My son is such a pain lately... I am QUITE ready for him to get his life together & move back to college. ARGH!! Wednesday Spirit made a double batch of homemade pudding, w/o knowing he does not like tapioca. He takes one look at it, says "guess you did not make any for me" and goes back into his cave. So last night Spirit makes homemade chocolate chip cookies for him instead, not knowing I had used the last 2 eggs. Asks him to go get eggs at the store around corner and he refuses. I'd ask if it could get any worse, but I been asking him to reattach rearview mirror on our Oldsmobile since mid-July so I could get it inspected before it expired. Now, here it is August, sticker has expired, and he is still "working on it, don't worry." Oh, and lest I forget to mention it, the Olds is crammed full w/his stuff from 3 weeks ago because he sees no reason to bring it in the stuff he put in it when we moved. So there is all sits i...

Well, snakes are all cozy clean, lizards too. Finally went back in for the DP shot for migraines.. finally got HEALTH INSURANCE!! Effective yesterday...whew... The metaphysical fair is this weekend but we are going to my twin's Saturday after work... neice's Bday. Sunday we'll do the fair. Sun & Mon were migraine days again... so glad the health insurance started immediately. Five weekends until housewarming...argh. Spirit has done SO MUCH around the place, I tell ya. I have not even STARTED on the flower beds yet. But the inside is comfy cozy, so each day a new start, I guess. Enigma got an offer from the place she applied to.. conditional, but an offer, nonetheless. Validation! So, tomorrow is the beginning of the weekend....whee!! Friday Rules, you know. Work til noon, coast until 3pm, goof off until the 5pm whistle. Here's to a fun filled time...

Well, talk about a jam-packed weekend!! Saturday morning I worked, of course... my usual 8am-noon. Then rushed home for the satellite guy (the company tells you a.m. or p.m., that is all). Whilst we waited I got all the pictures hung up on the walls and Spirit got the front yard mowed. Then we got all the closets shuffled and arranged so NO MORE CLOTHES on the floor !! ~~~~~~~~~~ Avalon & the Aussie came over around 2:30pm, then I get a call from the dish ppl, guy wont be there between noon & 5pm, will now be 5-5:30pm. OK. Our guests left right around the time the dish guy called...LOST! How can you miss the ONLY hot neon pink mailbox on Hwy 21 ?!? So, Tim finally shows up around 6:30pm, just before Peace & company came over, so we did not get to do anything really other than hang out and watch Tim install setup while kids played on trampoline.
