April Showers Indeed!

Well, I did not track ALL the rain in April, but there was so much in a one-week period that it actually caught my attention. A whopping 19 inches of rain just from April 11th-17th. Anyways... April was a good, albeit wet, month! My "returned from afar" friend celebrated her birthday on the 1st. I passed both my classes with A's and remain on the Dean's list (for now). Got to go to Texas to see CCJ for his 2nd birthday and enjoyed some family time and the SATX Zoo. The last trainee at work hit the floor solo in mid-April, making the unit fully staffed. You cannot overestimate how freaking happy that made me. We were understaffed before Covid but hit critical mass in October 2020. Took 6 loooong months to dig out of that hole.

This term is Algebra and Sociology. Love my Algebra teacher, not wild about the class. However, I will be done with it on June 8th. Actually, I will need to be finished with all the coursework by the 7th as June 8th is my follow-up with my oncologist. Hard to believe it has been two years since my last radiation treatment. I am at the "see me every 6 months" point so things are looking good! Still waiting on an "all-clear" but that is the direction I am headed, so it is all good.

Let me check-in and get that out of the way:

1) Blog the 1st of each month: one day early since tomorrow is a long-ass work day but here I am! "ON TARGET"

2) Maintain an intentional spiritual practice: I was in Texas for the New Moon but still observed in journaling, Full Moon was here at home with 5 women in Circle. No sabbats (Beltane is tomorrow) but I did set my 2021 Desires grid outside overnight under the Super Pink Scorpio Full Moon on the 26th. And I will set it out again tonight after placing the stone for May. 11 Journal entries, so on track there as well. "ON TARGET"

 3) Lose one pound each month: I actually gained 1.1#. Crap. That is most likely due to the fact that I spend 7-8 hours sitting and working algebra problems instead of my 2.5-mile walks with my neighbor.  "NO TARGET"
