Alberto crashed Bday Beach Trip...

This year's birthday beach destination was Florida. I have never set foot actually on Florida soil and so I was in for quite a treat. The beaches are MAGNIFICENT!! The water is a greenish hue ans so clear you could see through it. Got some cool shells, part of a large sand dollar and a wee bit of a tan. No burn this time, thanks to a new container of SPF. Apparently the one I took for the Alabama trip a few weeks ago had passed its prime. OUCH! So, we hit Santa Rosa, Destin & Panama City beaches. Friday was awesome beach day. Saturday was good right up until early afternoon, at which point the outer bands of Alberto were making themselves known. We came off the beach well rinsed and headed into the shops for some sightseeing and boosting of the local economy. Sunday dawned a bit cloudy but dry and so off we went for Pensacola. Oh, speaking of... Lunch found us starving and starving found us, of all things, an eatery called "The Egg & I". Dog friendly, tasty food, friendly staff.

Home now with laundry in the dryer and camper unpacked. Penny Prints already on the way so I can scrapbook them sooner rather than later. And now a lunch date with the bestie. And maybe a movie. Or a nap...one never knows!
