Tara's first day


well, Tara has relieved our concerns about using the bathroom... sigh
Kept taking her for walks yesterday & last night but no potty action.
Tara apparently was finally relaxed enough to potty... peed twice & loose stool in 2 different places in library so I have spent last hour cleaning carpet in there, then closed off all rooms On the good side, however, she speaks CAT and gives them wide berth ... even Abigale can't seem to find too much to fuss about :-). She is adapting well to being inside, climbing porch steps, laying on HER bed (not on couch) and she is eating, drinking, well-behaved around yesterday's art folk. Our only OUTDOOR issue is that she has found a low spot in fence to exit yard. Bud is apparently too large to use that spot... Tara is not... bigger sigh...So now I head off to repair fenceline, right after I feed the other 15 beings that live here...

I currently have 143 cards for sale @ the Bastrop Producers Market... I know because I had to sticker them with my Vendor number yesterday... 27 of those are NEW ADDITIONS that I made yesterday before going out. Lots of fun!! A quiet week is planned... just a board meeting in N Austin at a coffee shop...how could I NOT go?! And Janee Ward's "Stepping Through the Doorway" creativity workshop @ Pine Crone Labyrinth Retreat this Saturday & Sunday. The Trip That Wasn't

We were taking 32 days to go to Portland (via family and friends in Arkansas, Oklahoma, Portland, New Mexico & Texas) and back, seeing several state and national parks (including Great Basin, Crater Lake, Badlands, Mount Rushmore, Yosemite, Yellowstone, Wind Cave, and Palo Duro Canyon). On Day 1, a mere eleven miles south of the Arkansas state line, our truck broke down. We called Good Sam & they called Michael from A to Z Towing.  We spent most of 7/15 at Firestone. At 2:30pm they had a verdict, which was that the repairs were outside their scope of practice. We called Good Sam & they again called Michael from A to Z Towing, who towed us to the shop attached to the wrecker company, EZ Automotive. As the shop was closed until Monday, Michael called the owner. After explaining our dilemma permission was given to bring our camper as well as the truck. Michael set our camper down in the parking lot and ran an extension cord so we had power. We also had running water. Thankfull
