wow, where did time go?

I did not do my monthly update for February. Why? Well, busy lol. So, lemme catch that up right now... Monthly goals are: #1) Follow my budget in order to pay off ALL debt by this year's end. Moving along but this is difficult. Big Blue (planner) is now holding ALL budget & bill pay items. #2) Create one piece of art each month... an 8x8 canvas, a journal or booklet, a mixed media piece, just something artistic. This did NOT happen this month... just the art for swaps I am in. Like I said above... been busy! #3) Participate in my art group's "Birthday Club" where we send a handmade card & ATC to those celebrating birthdays. Done and mailed #4) 2020's weekly scrapbook layout challenge over at the Scraptacular Cropping Club. I have completed 1 through 11 as of today! #5) the Monthly lottery challenge in my ATC Art Group on IO Groups. The March card is made and ready. So, got back from Tupelo and hit the month running. Got to see Jeanne Robertso...

Mardi gras has come and gone

I didn't throw beads at my patients but I did gift them beads, LOL. Not nice to throw things at people when A) some of my patients are blind and B) one hand is tied to the chair during treatment. So I was nice. It is still cold here but at least not wet at this point in time. I am a tad tired of the cold but I see signs of spring around the corner so I am hanging in there. Got a few projects done, still working on the 365 Days of CCJ and a book or 2. Today's agenda includes a mammogram. Fun. Not. Made the Long Beach Ladies "Pop Up Dinner" last night. That was a blast!! Met some more new people. No real news since my last post so I will head on to the next task on my list...

Mid February catch up

Well, we are back from the hundred and 193rd Annual Mississippi Episcopal Diocesan Council. It was a boring, eventful and fun weekend… and not always in that order. . Essentially it is a weekend-long business meeting. This year it was held in Tupelo, the birthplace of Elvis. We pulled out with our camper in the dark wee hours of Friday morning on our way to Tombigbee State Park in northern MS, about an hour south of Tennessee. Friday night after the 6pm kick-off service there was a wine and cheese event with some other finger foods available. That was a nice chance to sit and catch up with folks as we got to our campsite about 4:30pm and set up before heading into the fray. We were a tad hungry by the time the food showed up. We socialized for a bit then headed back to Camp to turn in for the night as we were due back at 8:30am Saturday. Our mid-morning business session Saturday was interrupted by one of our alternate delegates having a cardiac issue at our table. After calling 911...

Checking in...

Well, the last day of my 1st month in 2020... let me see how I did. Monthly goals are: #1) Follow my budget in order to pay off ALL debt by this year's end. February's theme will post tomorrow Did have my Altoid Altars class this week. Do not have a class scheduled yet for February because there are a lot of other things going on. I did go see a denti...

2020 is moving right along...

Even though I have spent the last several days with a cold, 2020 is still off to a good start. My new planner is up and rolling. I got a Big Happy Planner (rather than Classic) in the last quarter of 2019 and set it up but then had to wait until the year started before I could really DO anything in it. Mine is a converted teacher planner so I have 5 squares to work with (vertically, still) rather than the 3 rectangular boxes. I put in some inserts in it (budget planning, penpal tracking, birthday lists and such) that I had created but still could not really USE it yet. So, now that I am, my style is gelling a bit and I am achieving planner peace. Yes, that is a real thing, LOL. I have even done 1 week already this year in a theme. Used to do that all the time back when I had more time. This year I have more time because (drum roll, please) WE ARE FULLY STAFFED!!! OMG I forgot how nice it was having 2 days off IN A ROW! I am back to a TTS schedule so I am off Sun, Mon, Weds & Fri....

Goodbye to 2019... hello 2020

Goodbye to 2019... hello 2020 December 29, 2019 First let me start off by wishing everyone a bountiful, joy-full and ART-full year. :-) Second, I have just reread my goal list from 2019 and, of the 5 goals, I met 1. However, in my defense, I was a bit busy beating cancer then returning to work (a bit too early, honestly) only to find we were short-staffed and I have been working 4 days a week ever since (my job is full-time @ 43 days per week, FYI). #1) participating in my art group's "Birthday Club" & send a handmade item to those celebrating birthdays. MET!! #2) 2019's weekly scrapbook layout challenge over at the Scraptacular Cropping Club Missed 8 of the 52, mostly near the end of the year when work gets all crazy and people take off for the holidays. #3) the 52 Weeks Being Me challenge over at the Words of Me Project Quit early on in the year as it was just not resonating with me. Good idea, well done.. just not for me. #4) the Monthly lottery challe...

Busy Day

Well, my Yule Circle has been moved to tonight because Saturday is 100% rain. Ugh. Lots to do and prepare for. Spent another week on the bike because car was in shop (clutch, this time). This is not the time of year for that... 25 degrees and wet at 3am. Also multiple parties from now until the new year starts. Eek. On the horizon though I have GOOD NEWS! Angel (Yes, that is her name) starts @ SKC full time...and needs NO TRAINING! OMG I am so excited. We will be fully staffed again starting 2020! OK, lots to do and off I go.
