well...house is ours!

After signing papers for 75 minutes, we closed on the property Tuesday!! 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, and a lot of stuff to get moved in the very near future.... Just the 3 of us Tuesday evening after we got the keys... last night SF came & helped w/a minivan which made moving my plants MUCH easier... especially with a freeze predicted...they needed to get on over there. Tonight we pick up our new washer & dryer and installed those. Tomorrow is the big push to box up all the rest of the little stuff & get all the boxes and whatnot over. Saturday will be the moving van (ie: big stuff, big guys). Sunday we head to Bryan for a moving break... and Deep. December has not even happened yet and ALREADY it is packed chock full of stuff! Blessings to us all.... and a fence for Dinkums, soon....

Just another MANIC MONDAY

I wish it was Sunday.... Sunday December 2nd so my moving into OUR NEW HOUSE would be over... sigh...we close tomorrow at 3:30pm... they gotta get the porches corrected first!! Hopefully that will be done today...dont't want to sign & then have no leverage if not done... argh!! You can TELL a man installed the porches because they are built in such a way that you cannot get a queen-sized boxspring into the house...the couch is a maybe if you can get it OVER the RAILING. Oh, and Luna & Loki's 6 foot long, 4.5 foot tall habitat....forget about it....no way...stay tuned.

Tracy reponds....

Dear Tenants, If you want to run an add on Craigs list for the mobile home, thats fine but do not bother me with people just calling for info. If you want to show the home on your time then you can forward anyone that is ready to fill out an application to me at that time. I am not going to schedule any showings until yu guys actually move out and turn keys over, and take my phone number off the mailbox immediately! Tracy I left typos... who am I to edit? :-) Now, bear in mind, we don't WANT to show the trailer because of the items that are in need of repair STILL from before we moved in August 2006... don't think she will be able to rent it out for as much as she is asking if they know a) the landlords do not maintain it and b) the repairs needed are not minor (ie: within average person's scope). It is our hope that- in paying the rent through then end of 2007, even tho we will be out 4 weeks BEFORE that- she will get the repairs done. Not many tenants would do that, I...

rain.....

Someone played this song for me Sunday, been thinking of it ever since.... it is called Rain, by Patty Griffin It's hard to listen to a hard hard heart Beating close to mine Pounding up against the stone and steel Walls that I won't climb Sometimes a hurt is so deep deep deep You think that you're gonna drown Sometimes all I can do is weep weep weep With all this rain falling down Strange how hard it rains now Rows and rows of big dark clouds But I'm holding on underneath this shroud Rain It's hard to know when to give up the fight Some things you want will just never be right It's never rained like it has to night before Now I won't beg you baby For something maybe you could never give I'm not looking for the rest of your life I just want another chance to live Strange how hard it rains now Rows and rows of big dark clouds But I'm holding on underneath this shroud Rain Strange how hard it rains now Rows and rows of big dark clouds But I'm still ...

WE ARE CLOSING!!

well, we have a closing date... Nov 27th @ 3:30pm!! Not before Thanksgiving, which we'd been hoping for, but still...pretty fast turn around... from the day we put the earnest monies down to closing will be a grand total of 40 days. and this morning's song, since it is not the title, was "Torn".

waiting ever so patiently

Well, I woke up with a Meredith Brooks song...now I can't remember it... I really should write them down first thing. By them time I feed the 4 small mammals, the 3 cats & 1 large dog, then make 6 salads... I do well to remember to eat breakfast...much less remember anything once I walk out the door. Winter is trying to make an appearance...can't imagine why as it is only mid-November in Texas. There was actually frost on my windshield this morning...down to 66 degrees in the lizard lair. Still waiting to hear from the mortgage people about our closing date... they are shooting for today or Monday and if THAT happens, we are palnning to actually move in on Thanksgiving Day. Why waste a paid day off, ya know? Well, for now...we wait. Art Saturday is tomorrow, and is right around the corner from our place, so that is nice. Deep work on Sunday, so need to work on that a bit... see what type of PR I want to present.

Snow has fallen...

Came in to work early today.... only to find the shop Siamese, Snow (short for Snowball) slain in the parking lot across the street from our office.... buried her out back in the truck yard, where she used to catch lizards & bring them to me as treats.... her favorite place lately had been at my feet under my desk (heater is there, too) or in my lap helping me type up invoices.... which is where she was shortly before 5pm yesterday. Buried her with some food & water, a magic stone, and best wishes for a speedy trip across the bridge. Blessings to you, Snow, and I will see you on the other side of the Rainbow Bridge.
