Day 8 of "Stay at Home"...
...and Day 29 of COVID19 in Mississippi. Coronavirus was not even a thing when I last posted. Sheesh...
For me, all that really means is that I can’t go wandering about and craft shop on my days off (I’m “Essential”, sigh) and we can't dine out when I get home from work. My part-time job is closed for now and my Census job is on hold because of COVID19. She is able to go out for groceries and things during the days. We still walk the dog, either in our neighborhood or on the beach “boardwalk” (it is concrete, but whatever) every evening. There is a curfew in place until 5am but I have yet to be stopped on my way into work for 4am. The number of new cases is larger every day here but there is some hope that the rise will slow after this week for some reason? I have avoided the media crush about the whole thing by working in my clinic and, on my days off, crafting in my room or enjoying our yard, patio, pets and such. She is doing yard work, garage cleaning, making masks for others (and for me). I spent Monday making 2 dozen cards (paper crafting eases my stress levels) so I am sending 20 of those out today. Even if I have been seeing you online or in texts, calls, etc I still wanted to take a moment to check in and send you a “virtual hug”. Please know that you are in my heart and thoughts and that you are important to me. Stay safe, stay connected, stay at home and we will get through this.
