Rise above this

A REAL Friday (no work tomorrow!! at least outside the home). Can you imagine? And the dragonfly on this card seems to be rising above things. This is actually a DSP that I added another dragonfly to with EP. The fan is just from a box of random paper embellishments that hang out near my desk. I am a fan of dragonflies, I will admit.

Depending on your viewpoint, the main symbolisms of the dragonfly are renewal, positive force and the power of life in general. Dragonflies can also be a symbol of the sense of self that comes with maturity. Also, as a creature of the wind, the dragonfly frequently represents change. And,maybe the most important symbolism for me: as a dragonfly lives a short life, it knows it must live that life to the fullest with the short time it has. I think that is a major lesson for all of us. And a lesson I try to heed DAILY.

With that said, however, I have to find a balance between all the things in life I want to do because I cannot do them all... not AND sleep. LOL. So, I will be sitting out this Sunday's Texas Wheel Workshop to do some work on the website for our 18th Annual Festival of the Goddess. Tonight, I make more cards (thanks Heather!) and Saturday I spend doing the same so I can take a new batch to Market Saturday afternoon. And, for those of you that haven't visited Jackie's site yet, she says nice things about me: "Our handmade CARDS are unique. Two producers do photo cards with moments in Nature frozen for you to see, and they are really good photographers! "Cards by Chaotic" are beautiful hand made creations, even the paper is hand made. Give a special card, not a mass produced one."

I owe, I owe, so off to work I go....
