what you do when child is ill....

I went to M's for the New Year's Day sale... came away w/lots of stuff from the $1 bargain bins... turned it into these (made 9 cards total). I figure supplies ran about $5 (even tho I did not use all 50 sheets of paper, all 2 rolls of ribbons, all felt coasters, etc) ... and I had fun doing this while tending to ill son... all in all, a great evening spent at home.

too damn short staffed at work

the title is also my reason for not posting in a month.. .geez!! I am working in a field where the average worrk week is SUPPOSED to be 3 days... try FIVE. and when those days are anywhere from 11-15 hours, you dont really wnat to work them all in a row... not even back to back. Quiet Opening — and a Notice Given

I’m not starting 2026 with a manifesto. No word of the year. No demand that I become sharper, faster, or more impressive by spring. No declaration of the goals that I “must” do, then accounting for them (done or not). I’m starting the year the way I start most things now: by listening. Listening to my body, to the whispers on the wind, and to the voices in my mind. The last few years taught me that reinvention isn’t loud. It’s patient.
