Forever

Well, the library came together nicely... little over 2 solid hours of working the stuff around... not perfect yet, but, neither is life! The parental units are slated for holiday visit and the library does double duty as guest room so kinda important to get it set up! Next is to finish the computer desk so that box can be tossed (right now it is prominently displayed at the foot of the bed...sigh). Then there is cleaning up around the side porch...since it is muddy we are ALL using that door...front yard of spec homes are never very pretty until the grass comes back... or the grass seed sprouts in spring.

Spirit is planning the holiday menu both for dinner at our place Christmas Eve & a dessert to take to the twin's place on Christmas Day... "Pumpkin Surprise"! Gets all the raves when you take it places! :-)

Agathos's cold may have finally gone away...poor thing was whistling when he breathed...not good!! Apparently got too cold in the new set up when the infrared light quitt working. So new 75W bulb & covered tank has kept him at a constant 93~F for the last 5 days. Heat is the answer, thank the Goddess. Last thing I need is a sick snake. Cavie was pricey enough! And continues to be...the hidden part of animal rescue is the constant care they need for the rest of their lives. We've stopped the pododermatitis on the cavie and the metabolic bone disease on the dragons (that had it) but there is no REVERSING any of those, just stopping the progression. That is okay by me... they are safe here and very much loved. :-) Each has been their own blessing.

The Newbie from Feb has gone..almost made it 10 months, which may be a record? In the 38 months I have been here, we've had 4 drivers come & go (all in same route, too...hmmmm...) and 7 ladies come and go (all all at same position...meters desk...hmmm). The turnover for new employees is very high...for us old-timers, we know the drill and are not leaving. This one quit before bonus time (idiot!) and left owing me money (another idiot!) ... I am waiting, still. 38 months here, 7 gals... my math shows that means each one stayed an average of 5.5 months. Like I said...this one lasted the longest, I think.

MERRY YULETIDE and HAPPIEST OF HOLIDAYS to you and yours from all of us!
