My Chaotic Realm

Well, 1 week down, a few more to go until my birthday arrives! Will be taking 2 vacation days, plus holiday pay and the weekend so a whopping 5 days off!! May is (so far) quite a bit slower than April was. I NEVER want to double up on coursework ever again. Not int he same month, PLEASE. And have stated such to the powers that be that they need to coordinate things a little better for those of us taking both the WTI course AND the WOTY. Kim's WOTY is only a year-long course, whereas the Women's Thealogical Institute is on ongoing course of study. Good news is, I don't think any of them will overlap in the remaining months of 2007. Wheww!! Only about half the items on May's calendar as there were on April's, mostly due to exhaustion (lol) and the fact that neither course is holding an intensive study in May. And we'll be curtailing some of our adventures for financial consideration:: the change in Spirit's work facility and the additional member of our...

Well, I have made it through the whirlwind that was April... ending in Beltane. Then May kicked off with it's (first of two) Full Moon. Ruth was in town signing her book & signing last night. That was great, really...wow... she has such an awesome presence. Tallied out the last few weeks... in the last 14 days we've been engaged in some form of ritual work a grand total of 9 of them, and planning for group rituals another one of those days, then attended an event for one of our own for another of those days. So 3 days were mundane...LOL... if you call finally giving my 1986 Celica a break. I figure, after 26 years and 337,000 miles, she deserves a break here & there. So say hello to my new vehicle!! Let's see...for the other 2 of those 3 days... I was sick one of them, home & directly to bed. Umm... last one? Oh, yes...went to visit my Energy friend, who is recovering from back surgery. Life is full...as it should be! So, slowing down a bit now... work...

hmmm...need to come up with a personal ritual to share with the Wheel of the Year group this weekend, sometime Saturday, I do believe. We are working on the Girl-Child/Maiden aspects as it is Beltane soon... am thinking of honoring my connection to water.... in all its forms. Even as a child, I always found my own private little place near the water where I could go and relax, be, think, enjoy, watch the world go by.... :-) Now just to figure out how to go about the actual honoring... that is the hard part!! Well, here it is, Tuesday, and I've not yet set down in words (keystrokes?) the weekend past. My, it was FULL. :-) Full of goddess women, goddess energy, goddess altars, discussions, feedback, all sorts of wondrous things. Saturday's evening circle was centered around reclaiming our "bitch" personas. When a man is aggressive or assertive or the like, he is "manly"...when a woman behaves similarly, she is called names. Why is that ? Aask yourself, see what you come up with. You might be surprised. Anyways...back on topic... the Orisha we invited in was Oya , and we invited the Goddesses Kali , Medusa , Pele & Lilith . Earlier in the day, I presented an altar to Isis as I am attuned to her. Funny, did a random card pick on a website earlier today & got the Isis card. :-) After lunch, we got to hear the actual non-patriarchal stories, poetry, etc on several of the Goddesses, and personal stories relating to them as well...just an AWESOME...

Well, today is Thursday...Jade will be in town signing one of her books @ Bookwoman!! And then the WTI weekend Fri-Sun at PineCrone in Bastrop. This will be my 2nd event of this type, but the 1st one at PineCrone, so I am really excited. For this weekend, I will be studying the Goddess in her many forms as well as making a presentation on the Goddess Isis. Spirit is presenting Artemis. Good thing I am taking off at noon on Friday or there would be a lot of things left undone. Jade's deal is tonight @ 7pm in Central Austin, so will be close to 10pm before we get home, then Friday we have to be in Bastrop by 5pm... EEEEEK!!! Also want to get my Alabama Gal some stuff @ Hancock Fabrics as they are having a "going out of business" sale. Lots of cool stuff in there, I tell ya! Also need to make a casserole, Spirit is making a cake...all sorts of things need to happen. Plus caring for the 14 babies whilst we run in and out over the weekend.
