My Chaotic Realm

LOL...I never got around to posting Monday's song (Van Hagar's "When it's love, found HERE ) and then today's song upon awakening was Men at Work's "Who Can It Be" (found HERE ) so it was just too EASY to link them together... and, if you are new to this blog, I will just explain all of the above by saying "I wake up every morning with a song playing in my head." So I use the 'song of the day' as the title to that day's post... used to post the lyrics (or pieces of them) but that takes up a lot of space on the days I actually HAVE something else to say... :-) Blessings to you all as we approach Mid-Summer Solstice!! Well... winds yesterday lifted my grandpuppy's 6x6x10 shaded structure over his fence & out of his yard and deposited about 150 feet away, in a neighbor's yard!! We've had steady 20-25 MPH winds out of the SSE now for a coupla days. Another wind advisory is predicted for all of today before the rains hit on Friday. Our free night last night was spent tying the shaded structure down with stakes & aircraft cable this time as skinny rope was just not strong enough for sustained speed winds. SIGH. I looked at Spirit & said "Dorothy, you & Toto are still in Kansas." all of us laughed... it made perfect sense...even the dog seemed to be grinning! The link (click on title above) is why I was up most of the night. :-( That was the image I got everytime the gusts (32-38 MPH, according to the weather people) hit (which was OFTEN, let me tell you). have not woken up with that song for quite a while... a friend actually made those lyrics into a magnet for me a couple of years ago...very good song for change. Speaking of change..was at a workshop this weekend and was speaking with one of the other attendees about change and new beginnings. If there was a such thing as a "Professional New Beginner", I would a apply for the job, I tell ya. Had my palm read once at an event... person reading it was rather intrigued by the fact that, rather than the lines indicating a change in life path, I had lines that just ended and then restarted... breaks in the line, so to speak. Looked at me and said "You have created yourself multiple times in this lifetime." I knew that, but was surprised to hear it coming from a palm reader! I've always subscribed to the theory that, if you don't like your current story, change it. Rewrite it. And I have succeeded in doing that very thing a number of times. But how many? Neve...

actually, the song is really titled out of the frying pan(and into the fire) but this was the line that stuck in my head.... and this is yesterday's song...today's was It's Not My Time AGAIN. LOL... Maybe I need to go reread those lyrics. Got a call last night from the moderator of a yahoo group I unsubscribed from... been in that group for almost 10 years, I think...but I am in too many groups, really, and was not at all active in that one any longer. BOD meeting for Austin RCG last night...lots of planning for the rest of the year. Then made up the new member packets... several people contributed pages and covers for them, then we laid them out on a table and assembled them all...whew! Long evening, but a lot of fun Speaking of fun, am helping with a "Psychic Skills/Dream Workshop" at PinCrone this weekend... am really looking forward to it. Odd dream this morning as the storm blew in...was in someone's back yard w/another woman (the spouse?) and the guy...

Well, Satuday was a productive day, especially compared to Sunday.... sigh... Spirit slept in a bit Saturday, still under the weather due to allergies.... I weeded, put shade up for the grandpuppy, watered the outdoor plants, etc. Then we spent 4 hours housecleaning...not our house but the houses inside our house! Agathos moved up to a 40gb tank, so his was free now for a uro... and we had one waiting already...so uros moved to 29g tanks... robos and cavey also got their old digs turned out and new shred installed...wheeeeee Then off to Art, home for dinner & movies w/the neighbors resident maiden... Sunday was heated discussion {on feminist spirituality} at the monthly meeting of the Book Goddess group then me home to be ill (barometric migraine)...
