Almost 2 months gone..WOW :-(

So I last posted on here February 23rd ...where has the time gone?? OMG!?! Between work (full-time, part-time & self employed), volunteering, Easter, travel to see family AND vacation I have not really stopped. I have been doing my art journal on a regular basis up until 2 weeks ago (need to catch up on that THIS weekend, I promise myself!). And I have been scrapbooking all the events...am even caught up except for our April vacation trip. The Healthy lifestyle challenge is still challenging and at times I am despairing of EVER getting to where I need to be. It turns out that I HATE to exercise. I am good with walking, goodness knows I do enough of that while I am at work!  And I like to walk socially. But I hate doing strengthening exercises. Those weight lifting, core targeting, stretching things. Maybe should take up watching TV and put a gym in living room so I would be more inclined? Who knows. And being in the beginning throes of menopause is NOT helping, lemme just say. ...

16 weeks

So, I started a pilot program through my health insurance provider for ppl @ risk of diabetes (I had gestational diabetes in 1986-1987 & am overweight now). It involves a wireless scale that transmits my weight directly via cell signal (so no lying there!) and a phone app to track all my activity, food, etc. How long will this last, you wonder? 16 weeks. So far I have lost 3.6 pounds..I think I can put up with this. It is arranged in a group of 2 dozen ppl one 1 health coach. We are all linked via a chat room/forum board for discussions, support, exchanges, etc. There is no cost for the wireless scale or phone app so the only thing I have to lose is... you guessed it...weight. This is why I signed up for it...that and the fact that I really do not want to end up with diabetes. Today is a holiday for the BF...we are going to the gym & then goofing off he rest of today. I do have some art-related items to catch up and a few pen pals to write, but that is not really work for me...

Oh the things I have done...

So, it is not quite 9:30am and already I have managed to herd dogs & cats, launder & fold the summer sheets and put them away, started the next round of laundry (scrubs) and managed to launder myself. Hair is still wet but it will dry on its own. I have also:: washed dishes, put plants out in the sun & watered them, Christmas present & card left on neighbor's doorstep, written in and addressed my Christmas cards so they are ready to drop off at the Post Office. All before I have had breakfast or a second cup of coffee!! I still need to do my recertification paperwork, eat breakfast, drop off mail and some of my hand-delivery cards and get stuff ready for tonight's Sizzix Test Drive Class I am teaching @ Michael's . And now...off I go to get the rest of today's list DONE!

Still short....

...handed, that is... at work. This working 5 day weeks in a job that is meant to be done three days a week sucks. Sigh. On the upside tho, I am now a Paper Crafting Class Instructor for Michael's at Crossroads Center in Gulfport, MS. Hwy 49 @ IH10, in case you are not familiar with it. This coming Saturday, after I work DaVita Monday thru Friday, I will be conducting an Open House from 11am-3pm. Come see me, check on how I am doing. Should be interesting.... no idea what I will be doing or if there is even any required things to be doing. Don't even know what my hourly wage is. But hey... I'm playing with paper and teaching others to do so... and I do that at home for free. So does it really matter?
