My Chaotic Realm

well, song of the day is appropriate, seeing as how I am posting a pic I took of my art area. Online group was wanting to see each other's spaces, so this is it.. be warned!! There is an explanation that goes with it... but I will spare you that part!

Well, I did it... I took an 8.5x11" piece of paper, decorated it, then cut it up and used for A4 cards. The challenge, you wonder? To make TEN cards from only the ONE decorated piece of paper. And, if you count them in the picture above, I made 11. Most people get 7-8 cards. :-) I SO ROCK!! And I love paper, so this is a big thing for me. How much time did it take me? About 5 mins for the background paper, which was done several days ago so it could dry. That is my latest craze-- alcohol inks. Then about another 5 mins to cut up the paper. And based on the color in the DP (decorated paper) I pulled random sheets of paper & scrap out of my "Blue Purple Green" drawer and commenced to applying pieces of DP to cardstock. POOF! All in all, about an hour to make 11 cards, including folding cards, cutting backing pieces, punching out shapes, gluing, etc. Not bad for an evening.... not bad.

well... good song...new one for me..... anyways, last night was our spring equinox ritual... grand time! coupla new faces, which is always great. and, speaking of new faces, there was one on our way home.... cute longish nose, long floppy ears... a goat was out after curfew hitchhiking on 183 South not too far before our cutoff for Hwy 21.

am hosting a candle party... what a perfect thing for a witch to do! Tonight... so shopped for the party...drinks, cheese, etc...what fun! Spirit is cleaning up ... wheeeeeeeeee

Well, in keeping with the song of the day, washed the Escape today... vacuumed the carpets, did some smell good under seats, washed off my bumper stickers and license plates so you can READ them again.... today is the last "free" day and then the rest of the week will be hopping... candle party Wednesday, Thursday is the spring equinox ritual, Friday is full moon out past Bastrop, Saturday is an out of town visit with some friends, Sunday is helping the chicken ranch get some pens built... life is so good that it just takes my breath away at times, all the things available to me....

Well, actually woke up with 2 songs... the link above (title) and Melissa's "Message to Myself". It is Friday so I have set Pandora to "Workin' for the weekend" channel. It is also payday, but since we don't get checks until the end of the day on a Friday, can't really do anything except deposit the money & wait for bank to post it on Monday.... not that I had any expensive plans anyways. Saturday is art day at SSS, Sunday is a workdate in N Austin for RCG-A. Got one of the walkways down... decomposed granite from back door (Rebel's) to dog yard (grandpuppy). Got my MySpace page updated and met a new pagan buddy from up north that has come to Texas.... all in all, can't really complain about the week... lots of good stuff going on...
